MRS PANCAKE

Home of Brilliant Educational Doodads for Teachers, Parents and Children

As it is said in her website http://mrspancake.com
Mrs Pancake is the teacher everyone loves. She's kind to the kids, always brings treats and just loves making Doodads - wonderful educational resources for parents and teachers.

Our lovely Doodads help teachers and parents teach literacy, numeracy, lots of topics and just generally make classrooms look great. Mrs P and her team hope to make learning interesting and fun.

In my opinion it is a great website, full of different and colourful ideas. Some doodads are very easy while others are more complicated. You'll be able to find activities by topic, season... I really hope you like it... And let me know if you use any of the ideas!!!

Why should we use Arts and Crafts in our classes??

There are several reasons To Use Arts And Craft when working with Kids. Arts and craft can be a valuable aid to improve child development.

Creativity: everyone has natural skills and talents. It is possible to improve and boost them...
Here you have Sin Ken Robinson talking about Creativity and supporting these ideas

Concentration: developing concentration is another good quality any successful individual can have. Arts and craft will definitely teach kids to focus on one specific task... ignoring other distractions. In short, concentration will definitely improve.

Social Interaction: arts and craft teach social interaction when working and interacting in smaller groups. Communication among friends is also improved.

Task Completion: all arts and craft help kids develop a sense of satisfaction on task completion. Not only is this ability important for scholastic performance, but you'll also reap the benefits in adult life.

Planning: kids have to follow a recipe or plan to finish the task, systematically and logically do things...

Expression Of Emotions: arts and craft will surely go a long way to teach expression of emotions. They learn to handle frustrations and to just keep on trying.

Openness: kids may came up with great ideas and solutions to many problems, they usually don't fear of criticism

These are only a few reasons why you must consider arts and craft in your class as a part of kids' development.
